While both males and females have horns, males usually have a bald patch on the top of the horns caused due to frequent necking. Necking happens during brief fights between males as well as during sexual engagements. Most sexual engagements are between males, females are engaged with primarily as a means to reproduce. This particular one was really tall, towering over most of the vegetation in the area. |
