This is the Vumbura Plains airstrip, seriously, and you can even see the wind sock in the background. We were greeted by a herd of tsetsebe, usually found in this part of the delta, unlike impala and red lechwe which are seen more commonly. Its interesting how each species of the antelope family has a unique trait in terms of defense - horns of the sable, water padding of the red lechwe, huge numbers of the wildebeest and so on. For the tsetsebe, its their speed. This is the fastest antelope species in the world and that saves them from several predator attacks, although not all.
