| Waterbuck are from the antelope species that are not aquatic but live close to the water. They have a unique advantage in that they release a water repelling substance, making their meat very unattractive to predators. They do get hunted, specially the young ones but are not prime targets like impalas and wildebeests. The white ring on the back is unique to this animal. |
