| No, this is not about Jack Nicholson's Warren Schmidt. I was lucky enough to get into Bernd Schmitt's Brands, Identity and Experience class this past semester without loosing a boat load of my bid points and truly enjoyed this class. At the end of the semester I asked him if he would mind me taking a few pictures of him and he readily obliged. These are taken in his office over a brief conversation on his plans for the summer, his new book and his project work. Schmitt is a recognized authority on Branding, Experiential Marketing and International Business, he directs the Center on Global Brand Leadership at Columbia Business School and has authored several books on the subject. Any students at Columbia Business School thinking of taking Schmitt's class, you'll have a blast. The background in some of these shots is a composition of Schmitt, made out of article clips written by him in Chinese. Wikipedia has the following on Schmitt: "For the past four years, Schmitt has hosted a Columbia international seminar for Executive MBA students at Columbia in Munich, Germany. This trip includes class time focused on experiential branding and also include many company visits and high-level speakers from German industry. In 2007, the entire class was invited to drive brand-new Audis on the Autobahn out to the Audi plant in Ingolstag, where they were given a private tour of the factory." I would be up for that. |
